We Chinese are supposed to inherit the classic studies of Chinese ancient civilization and carry forward the essence of ethnic culture. Therefore, on the afternoon of 30th November, the 2nd Session Chinese Traditional Culture Classic Reading Competition entitled ‘Refined Speeches Inheriting Civilization& Classics Infiltrating Life’ was jointly hosted by Anqing Publicity Department, Anqing Ethics Promotion Office, Municipal Education& Sports Bureau as well as the Mount Huang Publishing House.
Anqing Foreign Language School’s delegation got ready for the contest with a two-month-long elaborate rehearsal and perfectly integrated poetry, music& dancing. The resonant sound reverberated through the lecture hall while the heroic spirit filled audiences with enthusiasm, here, quote, ‘Beautiful Young Chinese, and for My Youth Day. Strong Chinese Youth, and for My Country As One’.
To be specific, judges and a live audience were presented with a luxuriously glorious gala in terms of a delightful melody on the flute, ink water sleeves, a bright moon warming people’s heart composed by poet Su Shi, graceful artistic conception, elegant shows in addition to the first-rate chant. In the meantime, the exquisite performance demonstrated the excellent qualities and favorable spiritual outlook of Anqing Foreign Language School’s students.
Furthermore, after nearly three-hour-long fierce competition, Anqing Foreign Language School’s representative team had the honor to obtain the first prize with their outstanding originality and splendid recitation.
To sum up, this meaningful Chinese Traditional Culture Classic Reading Competition entitled ‘Refined Speeches Inheriting Civilization& Classics Infiltrating Life’ not only exerted an edifying influence on students with regard to humanistic spirits, but also led students to get closer to and ardently love the Chinese culture through chant and recitation.
